June is here!

Posted by Fedor on February 20, 2007

June Hunt from Hope for the Heart has been here doing her broadcast daily as well as participating in a bunch of panel discussions and events. She has such a sweet personality. The site Silas Partners assisted her ministry on has launched and the staff is happy! We are happy! We love the new site too! You should also check out a new project she’s working on - iQuestions - it’s a place for people to go who are struggling with life’s issues and allows them to hear biblical direction and encouragement in many areas of life.

Viral Pigment Power Opportunity

Posted by michael on January 10, 2007

Coloring Screen samplePeople want the pigment power. It is a primal instinct exposed through the child development years, this need to choose the crayon of one’s choice to color. I cannot remember hearing an adult chastise me for coloring a tree purple with crayons but I can trace my early works of art from purple trees to green trees. It happened to us all, this sad day when authority took away our color freedom. THE TREE MUST BE GREEN they scolded! Forget the fact that trees are orange or yellow in the autumn. Forget that your classmate Lulu ate your green crayon. Forget it all. You must adhere to society’s coloring guidelines - adhere they tell you! Make sure your pillow sheets match the comforter they tell you. Those pants don’t match those shoes they tell you.

Understanding the drain of giving up one’s power to color the world the way they want, Silas Partners developed an Read more >>

World’s Largest Pillow Fight

Posted by Ken on October 19, 2006

I previously wrote about a couple of our members attending the Catalyst Conference. Supposedly, Michael and Jeff helped break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Pillow Fight.

Michael e-mailed the team the link for the clip below with the subject “Pillows”. It peaked my interest. Definitely unconventional…but that is what it often takes to grab people’s attention on the web today.

Catalyst Podcast and Catalyst Conference

Posted by Ken on October 2, 2006

Mark Batterson is the pastor of National Community Church (disclaimer: NCC was a past client of Silas Partners). I read his blog - Evotional.com - often because he really sees the power of the web as a communication tool to his congregation and beyond.

Pastor Mark just wrote about the launch of a new podcast by Catalyst - the same folks who do the Catalyst Conference - called CatalystSpace . You need to register to get access but with other podcasts including interviews with Andy Stanley and Louie Giglio, you’ll definitely want to sign-up.

On a side note, a couple of Silas Partner folks will be down at the Catalyst Conference, so let us know if you want to connect with us.
